I was having a discussion with my business partner yesterday and he was discussing several models with me. He went down the memory lane to the tower of Babel and how what actually happened was that Nimrod instigated the people to mould bricks as against using stones for construction.
I wouldn’t want to bore you with our gist but what came out of the entire discuss was, you are either a stone or a brick.
Being a stone means you carry the exact image of God and your consistently reflect him. You stand your grand in the midst of troubles and you refuse to bow to manipulations. But a brick on the other hand is a product of clay which means it can be moulded into whatever shape by the hands of the manipulator.
Stones are leaders because they have a mind of their own but bricks are foot soldiers who depend on one man to direct them or make them into a shape that their maker is not proud of.
Stones are labelled as rebels in established religious systems because they dare to question what doesn’t pass the test of common sense and they are often rejected and threatened till they are thrown out but bricks accept bad behavior as a move of the spirit and categorize a weakness that express itself as anger as ‘holy anger’. They are made to serve in capacity that doesn’t promote their originality and natural ability till they become tired and worn out but even at that they remain because they are afraid of the future and they trust the tyrant to take them to a place he has never even been.
As you go out today one question you must ask is are you a stone or you have been made into a brick?
- Who is shaping your life into what doesn’t promote your originality? Who is judging your potentials and calling your carnal when you Father in heaven calls your righteous?
- Who is calling you proud simply because you have a mind of your own and wouldn’t bow to the ‘West African idol’ everyone else bows to?
- Who wants to strike fear into you and become your god or who is it that wants to impose himself or herself as your new father and mother even when they have not fulfilled the tenets of fatherhood in your life?
- It is a week to choose who you would become and how God would have you live your life.
Will you remain a stone that would become the chief corner stone or you will surrender your life into the hands of the brick layer and be made into a brick whose confidence is lost but keeps dancing even when you may never attain God’s height for your life.
This is also applicable to your children. Never allow anyone, religion or school mould them into bricks thereby losing their originality.
I honour you
