In the year 1450, Benin City in Edo state Nigeria built a wall that was a global masterpiece.

The Guinness Book of Records (1974 edition) described the walls of Benin City and its surrounding kingdom as “the world’s largest earthworks carried out prior to the mechanical era”.

It was one of the first cities to have a semblance of street lighting with huge metal lamps, many feet high, built and placed around the city.

With its mathematical layout and earthworks longer than the Great Wall of China, Benin City was one of the best planned cities in the world.

What struck me in my study of that generation was how the whites felt their construction method was crude at the time only to discover in later years that what they thought was crude was a mathematical process they had not discovered.

Those that constructed the wall and laid out the city had none of the things we blame for our inability to deliver at the highest level. They had no certificates and didn’t know about Jesus or Prophet Mohammed(SAW) but by the breath of God that resides in humanity, they knew a first class city was possible and they went ahead to create it.

I have learnt over the years that a confident man who serves ‘foolishness’ with audacity will have more patronage than a timid man with gold for sale.

Stop blaming witches and wizards for trying to stop you or steal your glory. If you are not a billionaire and witches are pursuing you then those witches must be broke.

What can your life look like if you uninstall devil consciousness?

Trash your excuses and step out with what is inside of you. No one can push it out for you.

Be like the ancient people of Benin. Build the greatest wall that eyes would ever see and save your world.

Once upon in 1879............

In 1879 the first incandescent lamp showed up to light up our world forever.

But the story behind it is what you all are familiar with and maybe you may have used to motivate someone around you. I feel one thing we have not paid attention to however is how it affects us.

Imagine you failing at the same thing 900 times. What would have been your interpretation or those around you?

• It may not be God's will for you
• You have tried your best
• Why don't you give up and try something else
• There are demons that don't want you to make it
• Village people are at work and have stolen your destiny

There were all valid possibilities yet the man Edison chose the one that did not make the above list;

How do you interpret your setbacks and shortcomings? What stories are you creating and what narrative are you listening to?

Abortion of vision is a choice, and it absolutely depends on you. Stop listening to stories that doesn't empower you especially when you are sure of what your solutions is able to deliver.

The crowd is never consistent and only you understand your pregnancy.
