Do you deserve what you earn?
Jan 09, 2022I stood for 8 hours training senior managers of a leading bank in Nigeria sometimes back and something and I touched on something that produced a radical result as I was made to understand later by the human resource manager.
You know that the notion that you work for your boss is not the only perspective that exists unfortunately that has robbed many of their ability to give their best. I taught them about working for God through their boss because the organization was first an idea in the mind of the owner and if God is truly the giver of ideas then the owner is simply the custodian of God’s ideas while the workers actually work for God.
As I taught this concept, I zoned on what each of them earned and asked if God were to do their appraisal for the month based on what they signed up for how many of them would earn a full salary? I went on to teach them that paying tithes or giving offering on a salary they never fully worked for may be unacceptable to God.
I did not know the problem what I shared caused but I was told some of them refunded part of their salaries for that month and there was a general change in attitude and productivity.
You see, I knew a lot of 3rd world executives are looking to impress God and the moment you tie their work to their service unto God it changes the dynamics. Imagine if everyone made a commitment never to offer to the customer or to their boss what they wouldn’t offer to God?
All the top nations of the world measure productivity per hour and that is why they are prosperous because only the hand of a diligent(productive) nation can bear rule.
Are you working at full capacity or you are stealing for your boss’ time to engage in activities that doesn’t add value to the overall productivity of the organization. You see, many of the attitudinal issues at work or in business can be directly traced to home training and I will zone in on that from tomorrow.
If we must save Africa we must all begin to demand zero tolerance for mediocrity and ensure our work ethics and thoughts become a bigger prayer than our words.
Be a Saviour today and take out time to watch this session I taught at the House of Saviours innovation hub last Sunday https://youtu.be/R4gu_WFiuLQ
